OUR FAMILY

Nickole: I am a 34-year-old mother to both Jayden and Krysta. I also recently received my PhD in Social Psychology! I love my family more than life itself even if they do drive me absolutely insane most days!! Ha ha. I don’t have many hobbies because, well, I am a mom! Lol. But I love all things pink, school, learning, going for long drives (like I have a choice for those that know us lol), and being wild and crazy. Lol. I am the type of person who just says and does what’s on my mind because I couldn’t care less about what people think about me. Ha ha. I am definitely not the person you want to ask, “do I look fat in this” or “what do you think I should do about ___” because I will tell you the absolute truth! I am an extremely kind person, but I will not agree with you for the sake of agreeing, I will tell your ass to go change because your rolls are hanging out and I expect to you tell me the same! Ha! So there ya have it, that is who I am wrapped up in a few sentences. Lol.

Jayden: He is a 10-year-old boy who is full of life! He knows what he wants, and he will NOT stop until he gets it! He is wild, passionate, crazy, and loving when he wants to be. He is also the ruler of this family. The rule maker and most definitely the rule breaker! We walk a tightrope around this house thanks to his rules and expectations. Ha ha. Seriously though, this boy is the most determined fighter I have ever met in my 33 years on this planet. He has been through more than most people could handle. He has been on death’s door more times than I would like to recall, but he always fights with all he has, and when he’s at the end of his fight, he somehow jumps back in the game at the last second and doesn’t stop until he’s better again. I had never seen a person come from death without any scars before until I gave birth to this little boy!

Krysta: Is a 16-year-old big mouth who attempts to be the ruler of the house, but Jayden has no problem putting her in her place! Ha! Seriously though, she is an amazing girl who is smart and talented at so many things! She is in the marching band and plays two different instruments (flute and tuba), and she is actually pretty damn good! She also has taught herself sign language as soon as we realized Jayden was not going to talk. She got books, watched videos, and practiced over and over again until she learned it. She can have full conversations with her friend’s parents who are both deaf. She also has been learning Spanish for the last two years! Her dream is to become a licensed interpreter for both sign language and Spanish. However, she also wants to be a physical therapist and work with children who have special needs. She is a straight-A student with plans to attend a career center for her 11th and 12th-grade years for cosmetology. Cosmetology is also another passion and talent of hers. And trust me, she spends hours in the bathroom doing her makeup and messing with her hair. Lol. She is not afraid to go against the crowd and be who she wants to be. She once wanted to shave her head,,, she had long hair at the time! She went into the bathroom and shaved half of her hair off because she liked the style! Lol. Even I wouldn’t take things that far. Ha ha. She is definitely someone who is going to go far in life as long as she sticks to all of her goals!

David: He is a little (okay a lot) more reserved than I am, so I am not going to write a lot about him here as he thinks I am crazy for writing all that I do online lmao. But he is also 33 years old. He is a dedicated father to both Krysta and Jayden. Although he has been through so much in his 33 years, he has somehow overcome it all and is the best father he can be to both of these kids. We have been together for about 20 years, so we have basically spent our entire lives together. We have had some major ups and downs just like anyone else, but we are still here 20 years later raising our family together. What more can you ask for!
